Lesson 3 – Interacting with the Blockchain – Introduction to Wallets

Published by Mario Oettler on

Wallets are the software blockchain users deal the most with. They are little programs or apps that allow you to send and receive cryptocurrencies. They also provide a user-friendly interface where you can keep track of your balances. In the background, they manage your secret keys and addresses and do all the cryptographic operations, so you don’t need to worry about it.

Wallets are available for many cryptocurrencies. There are mobile wallets, desktop wallets, web services, and browser plugins. Some wallets only support a single cryptocurrency, while other support many.
