Money Muling

Published by Franziska on

Money Muling is not so much a plagiarism but a scam. They are approached via job offers with the promise of making money quickly – even without prior training or expertise. The alleged companies often have a credible website or misuse the names of companies that actually exist. Everything is seemingly official: employment contracts are drawn up and handed out by e-mail.

As part of the supposed employment, the individuals are supposed to receive and withdraw funds via their own bank accounts and exchange them for a cryptocurrency via a bill of exchange. In return, the money mule is then allowed to keep a commission of the transaction amount. As this is money laundering, this is illegal.
